What is CFIF?
The CEBU FURNITURE INDUSTRIES FOUNDATION, INC. (CFIF) is a
non-profit organization of furniture manufacturers, exporters, and
subcontractors in Cebu.
It acts as the voice of Cebu's furniture industry and serves as its
rationalizing body, guiding its developmental efforts and providing
a venue for discussion and resolution of industry-related issues.
Established in 1974, CFIF is envisioned as a support organization to
Cebu's furniture industry, strengthening cooperation among members
and responding to the needs of the industry's international markets.
From a handful of members since its inception, the organization's
base has expanded to include 148 of today's biggest and most
successful furniture manufacturers and exporters in the region.
Mission
CFIF, Inc. is an association whose mission is to contribute to the
continued growth of the furniture industry. It carries out this
mission as a body to rationalize the furniture industry and provide
direction to its development efforts. It also serves as a forum
wherein industry related issues are discussed and resolved. It
speaks for and represents the furniture industry in Cebu.
Vision
Make Cebu the Furniture Center of Asia.
If Milan is to Europe in terms of design, then Cebu is to Asia.
Cebu is acknowledged furniture capital of the Philippines,
consistently capturing 71% of the furnture export sales of the
country. The Cebu Furniture Industries Foundation therefore dreams
with confidence the Cebu can also become the furniture design
capital of Asia.
As we enter the 3rd millennium, we foresee Cebu gaining more
strength in the sharing of more competitive designs, production
technology, management, and markets. The cooperation will multiply
and the international market will come to Cebu, where innovation,
variety, and reliability will be collective goals.
The Foundation will lead in making the dream happen, with the help
of the members and other sectors.
